- HyreMe is a free ATS resume checker and AI resume rewriter that runs as a desktop app on macOS 13 or later. It reads your PDF or Word resume, scores it out of 100 the way an applicant tracking system would, and rewrites it against its own report. Your resume never leaves your computer.
- Is the ATS resume checker free?
- Yes, on a monthly allowance: 20 profile credits and 10 Score-up credits every account, every month, renewed monthly and needing no card. A profile credit covers one build of your profile together with its ATS score and written report; PDF export and manual editing are never counted.
- What do you pay for?
- Packs, if a month's allowance is not enough or you want job targeting. They are one-off: $4.99 for 25 of each credit type, $9.99 for 100 of each, $19.99 for 400 of each, valid twelve months. Job-cycle credits — the ones Job Analysis and Job Matching run on — only come in a pack. There is no subscription.
- How is it different from an online resume checker?
- Online checkers ask you to upload a document containing your address, employers and phone number, and most put the useful part behind a subscription. HyreMe processes everything on your own machine, keeps no copy, and gives every account a free monthly allowance rather than a trial that runs out.
Every claim on this page is checked against what the app actually does. Where a feature does not exist — there is no built-in job board search, and HyreMe never submits an application for you — we say so.

Drop in a PDF or DOCX resume. HyreMe reads it — by OCR, so broken PDF encodings and LinkedIn exports come through clean — and turns it into a structured, fully editable profile. Every field is yours to correct.
ATS Report
A score out of 100 and a written report: keyword coverage, formatting an ATS can actually parse, section completeness, readability and role fit — each with a specific fix rather than a vague grade. It comes with the profile credit you already spent, and exporting it to PDF is free.
Score-up — the rewrite that has to prove itself
Score-up rewrites your profile using the recommendations from your own ATS report, then scores the result on the same pass so the two numbers are comparable. Your original is never overwritten — both versions sit side by side and you can throw the rewrite away at any time. Export either as a PDF resume.
- Every figure in the rewrite must already appear in your resume — checked without a model, so it cannot be talked out of its answer

One job-cycle credit covers a job end to end: the analysis, the tailored resume and the cover letter. Purchased credits are valid 12 months. A pack replaces the free credits you have left rather than adding to them, and the monthly allowance starts again once the pack is spent or expires.
Your resume is the most personal document you own
It has your address, your salary history, your employers and your phone number in it. There is no good reason for that to live on someone else's server.
Nothing is uploaded to us
Your profile, your resume text and your generated documents are files in your own application data folder. We do not have a copy, because there is nowhere for one to go.

An activity log records every step, every prompt and every token spent. The six system prompts are editable. Nothing about the pipeline is hidden from you.
It will not invent a number you cannot defend
Every ATS report on earth tells you to “quantify your achievements”. Point a language model at that instruction and a resume with no figures in it, and it will happily make some up — and you will find out in the interview.
HyreMe puts two checks between the model and your document. Neither is advisory: whatever fails is reverted to your own wording, and the app lists exactly what it reverted.
1 — The numeric check
Every number, percentage and currency amount in the rewritten text must already appear in your uploaded resume. No model is involved in this check, so it cannot be argued out of its answer. Years are exempt, because a rewrite may legitimately restate a date range.
2 — The claim audit
A separate pass reads your original resume alongside the rewrite and reports statements the source does not support — an employer, a tool or an outcome that was never mentioned. This catches fabrication that carries no digits at all.

What is free, exactly?
Every account gets 20 profile credits and 10 Score-up credits a month, renewed monthly. A profile credit builds a profile from your resume and includes its ATS score and report; a Score-up credit buys one verified rewrite and its re-score. Editing by hand and every PDF export cost nothing at all. No card, no trial clock.
What does one credit actually cover?
It depends which of the three it is. A profile credit covers one build with its ATS score and report. A Score-up credit covers one rewrite and the re-score after it. A job-cycle credit covers one job end to end — the fit analysis, the tailored resume and the cover letter — and re-generating a document for that same job costs nothing more.
Do I need my own AI API key?
No. The AI connection is built into HyreMe and your credits pay for it. There is no provider account to open, no console to visit and no key to paste — install the app, sign in, and your first build comes out of this month's free credits.
Does HyreMe apply to jobs for me?
No, and that is deliberate. Automated submissions break constantly — expired logins, anti-bot checks, and a different form at every company — and an application that silently half-submits under your name is worse than none. HyreMe prepares the documents; you submit them.
